Yup. It's about that time again. Spending time reflecting through photos that captured your best memories of the past few months, updating twitter statuses with lyrics from songs like 'Dear Summer', back to school commercials flooding the airwaves, and not to mention preparing for the final holiday of the season. I know many of you all have noticed how extremely rapid the summer has been going. It's pretty much an unwritten rule that summer is supposed to be the most exciting time of the year with it's fast paced and carefree living but it always seems to be a tad bittersweet to me. *Sigh*. Although, this season has thrilled me with the takeover of 70's inspired fashion, guilty pleasure reality shows like Love & Hip hop: Atlanta, breezy evenings on the boardwalk, the anticipation of the Iphone 5 and release of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, and most importantly living out some of my best moments with loved ones; I just can't help but notice that we are slowly but surely counting down the days until the return of the inevitable Fall. Oh, Dear Summer, how we will miss you. However, as I report to all you fashionistas on this sultry eve of August 1, 2012, I've had to remind myself that summer hasn't officially ran it's course yet. That's right, you've still got time to show out in those head turning outfits. All and all, summer has been really good to us, the trends that came on the scene, were must-haves. So, why not reflect on some of the hottest looks of this season. Sounds like a well spent evening to me =)

Color-Block
It's no doubt that to conquer the very bold color-blocking trend successfully, it demands some confidence and awhole lot of "swag" but this summer these ladies proved that they definitely aren't afraid to turn some heads.
Fringe Shirts & High-Low Skirts
Of course, I couldn't help but make the caption rhyme, 'Fringe shirts and high-low skirts' but these two pieces definitely rang its own bells this summer while adding a little 70's flava to alot of wardrobes.
Platforms
Ladies, we must admit, we all love the sexiness of adding a little length to those lustrious legs and this season platforms gave us the perfect reason to do so! With vivacious color combinations, flirty details, and a good ole' 4 inch wooden sole, platforms are the perfect addition to any summer outfit.
Well, there it is. That wraps up our Summer 2012 lookbook. While there are so many more styles that captivated the streets this season, we've all concluded that Maxi's, color-blocking, fringe shirts & high-low skirts, as well as platforms definitely were a hot commodity ...catch you all, next season!
